Merry Tuxmas and a Happy Gnu Year!

Multi-color fingers. What more could you ask for?

Here are three of my latest favorite photos. The first is Max and Gabe in front of the big 'Tux' the penguin inflatable Christmas decoration we have in the front yard.

This next one is nostalgic for me because Gabe (3yrs old in this photo) is doing the same thing I did when I was a kid: sticking the playing pieces from the Milton Bradley game 'Trouble' onto his fingertips. I remember it being fun as a kid to do this at my Nana's house where we would go visit every Saturday. The game is vintage stuff, and includes the 'Pop-o-matic Dice Roller' "Just press the bubble and your number's up! No loose dice." The game we have includes instructions copyrighted in 1986 and 1993, but I know for a fact the game is older than that.

I was able to spend some time with Max at Mrs. Duguie's kindergarten class making this fine gingerbread house.

Wow, I could live there :-)
